Early Voting Appointment System
Long lines at early voting centers are a form of voter suppression. Most voters do not have the luxury of standing in line and waiting up to two hours to vote. I will implement appointment-based voting which allows voters to select the time and location of their choice for early voting. Of course, the traditional standby early voting will always remain available to voters.

Ensuring Equal Access to the Polls
A Disability Advisory Board will be empowered to audit all Precinct and Early Voting locations to ensure they meet current ADA guidelines and are located on accessible bus routes. Each site should accommodate voters with Visual, Auditory, and Mobility concerns. Voting locations will also feature accommodations for voters with sensory needs.

Expanding Language Access
In addition to ballots, I pledge to provide voter guides and information in additional languages. Voter information should be accessible to all citizens in their language of choice. At the moment, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, and Haitian Creole are Orange County's top five languages. In order to increase voter engagement, these materials will be distributed by the election office.

Building Good Civic Habits
By partnering with Orange County Public Schools, we will build future engaged citizens. The Elections office will come to schools and conduct elections for student council and Sunshine State Young Readers. 16- and 17-year-olds will have the opportunity to pre-register to vote.

End Use of Schools as Polling Locations
Over the last decade, we have spent an enormous amount of time and money to protect our children while they are at school. Why are we undermining these efforts by opening schools up to the public as polling locations on Election Day? I am committed to ensuring the safety of our students and moving polling locations off of school campuses across Orange County.

The Supervisor of Elections should be the leading official in educating returning citizens on registering to vote. The Florida Division of Elections has a process for any returning citizen to request an advisory opinion for their specific case. I am committed to making this process accessible to everyone.

Maintaining Voter Rolls
Voter rolls are required by law to be updated, or purged, on a regular basis. When this happens, I will work with our print, radio, and television partners to inform our community. One component to raising voter turnout is to constantly engage the community to make sure the information on file is accurate.

Increasing Community Visibility
There has been a noticeable absence of the Elections Office at community cultural events, festivals, and art shows. I believe this lack of voter engagement results in lower participation. The biggest role a Supervisor of Elections should play is engaging the community outside of election season.

What happens after your ballot goes into the tabulation machine? We will implement a Citizens Training Academy where Elections staff will share exactly how a ballot is processed from the time you cast your vote all the way through final results being reported to the Secretary of State.
